OUR CRAFT BEERS

Here in The Hops our brewhouse & interactive brewpub we are all about the experience of craft beer. Our 5 barrel sized system feeds 4 fermenters and then onto the 14 brite tanks (or serving tanks), ensuring customers get not only a wide variety, but the freshest and most minimally processed brew that we can possibly offer.

Our 14 unique house-made brews are served directly from the brite tanks via our centerpiece, the self-serve tapwall. Customers are their own bartender with our system, and can sample as little or as much as you like.

Our brews can be described as traditional with a twist. classic styles such as pale ale, brown, and porter can be found, but so too could a white stout – a light beer that tastes dark – with coffee beans and cocoa nibs, an American white brewed in part with locally sourced raw week and hops from Kansas company, a rye IPA infused with fresh rosemary, and/or a Belgian dubbel rested on black mission figs.

UCM Brew Honey Wheat Craft Beer

20 years ago a few things happened - our brewer sampled a honey wheat beer while on a trip in Colorado, and United Capital Management was founded. Granted those are two slightly different occurrences, however, in the spirit of being Odd Fellows, they come together in this brew - the quintessential American Wheat Ale that is infused with locally sourced honey from AJ Farms.

UCM Brew Honey Wheat salutes United Capital Management's 20th Anniversary, and we thank them for being a part of our 3rd Brewing Experience to help craft this beer! Not too sweet, not too dry, and just a hint of the aromatic floral and spice of Willamette hops.

Farmhouse Cherry Saison

Next up in our newly minted Farmhouse Series (because sometimes you just wind up getting a series), is our Cherry Saison. A recipe from the depths of our brewers archives, and one that features a good rest on dried cherries. The result is a brew that strikes a chord for any time of the year. It’s bright, a little tart, and hits nice and sharp with elevated carbonation. Though the cherries aren’t at the forefront, it just wouldn’t be the same without them.

Ah, Kansas…not only is this brew for you, this brew is all you! 100% barley and wheat grown in state from Kansas Malt Company, and 100% Cascade and Kanook hops also grown in state from Kansas Hop Company, are brought together to make an ale that is truly of its own state. Go on and show off Kansas, this Mid-American IPA is a celebration of you.
A rich malt backbone is complemented with red wheat, giving the brew a solid yet subtly complex base. The hops jump right out with notes of orang-ie citrus and resin; a more than generous amount was used, giving it a slight haze and juicy factor, but not enough to go full New England style. Further, while it has a moderate bitterness, it’s not quite as intense as traditional West Coast styles.
